📌 A journey to the blue of the Ionian Sea and the Greek fjords of Meganisi!
Sunday’s trip starts from Ioannina (Academia) in the morning for a magical trip to the fjords of the Ionian Sea! A journey between two beautiful islands, where one is world famous, Lefkada, and the other, a hidden gem with a characteristic shape and Norwegian fjords, Meganissi! We head south towards the island of Lefkada, specifically Nidri, where we will leave our bus and board the ferry to neighbouring Meganissi! From the boat we will have the opportunity to admire the mansion of the poet Aristotle Valaoritis and the famous – in the whole world – island of Scorpios, the island of Aristotle Onassis! After 30 minutes on board, our ship docks at the port of Spilia and the exploration begins!
Already near the harbor we see the first blue beaches and taverns next to the sea! Whether you choose Porto Spilia or Agrios Beach, you will enjoy magnificent waters! But who limits us to choose only one! After enjoying our dives and the sea, we move on to Spartochori, perhaps the most picturesque settlement of Meganissi! Paved alleys, local cuisine and the most beautiful balcony at the entrance of the village complete the puzzle! At 17:00 we take the ferry back to Nydri and from there we move towards the beautiful town of Lefkada. We enjoy our afternoon stroll walking along the cobbled streets, gazing at the picturesque houses and the colourful flowers peeking out from the balconies.
After a day full of exploration and new experiences, we start our return to Ioannina, full of beautiful pictures, good mood and great photos!
At each of the destinations – stops we will make, there will be free time.
